At the time of my father’s demise, my brothers and sisters lived in different parts of the country by making accommodations as possible as for each other, and my dear mother decided to spend the rest of her life in her home. After her death; I am very happy that the birth house we lived and all the other properties in Aambalahamulla, Yakkalamulla have been converted to “Pinketha Meditation Center and Don Dines Memorial Library” for the benefit of the public with the willingness of my brothers and sisters. 

In memory of my dear parents who have lived a righteous simple life; in order to offer devotion in our hearts the “Pinketha Meditation Center and Don Dines Memorial Library” was built and handed over to the public in June 27th, 2014.

The launch of this location will greatly benefit the people of Yakkalamulla area as well as the people of other provinces.

It will give an opportunity to listen to the dhamma sermons of the capable distinguish Buddhist monks and participate in various meditation programs. It should be noted that for this purpose, it is necessary to work regardless of religion and race differences and for the benefit of the people without an intention of making profits.

I would also like to mention that this “Pinketha Meditation Center and Don Dines Memorial Library” can be used for any public activity which is for the betterment of the people.

Further, I urge all, from the smallest to the greatest, to develop their wisdom by using the knowledge from the International level library and the knowledge of religion from the Meditation Center.

By treating this place as your own, you can fulfill your spiritual needs while keeping the environment clean including the creations. Also I urge you to make the best use of this venue by contributing to the programs being conducted, organized at this location.

මාගේ පියාණන්ගේ අභාවය සිදුවන විට සොයුරු සොයුරියන් එකිනෙකාට හැකි අයුරින් සිය වාසස්ථාන තනාගෙන විවිධ ප්‍රදේශයන්හී වාසය කළ අතර, ජීවිතයේ සැදෑ සමය තම නිවසේම ගෙවීමට මාගේ ආදරණීය මෑණියන් තීරණය කළේය. පසුව ඇයගේ අභාවයෙන් පසු මාගේත් මාගේ සොයුරු සොයුරියන්ගේ කැමැත්ත අනුව අප ජීවත් වූ යක්කලමුල්ල, අඹලහමුල්ල මහ ගෙදර සහ වතුපිටි සියල්ල “පිංකෙත භාවනා මධ්‍යස්ථානය සහ දොන් දිනෙස් අනුස්මරණ පුස්තකාලය”නමින් පරිවර්තනය කර මහජන සුබසෙත සඳහා නිර්මාණය කරන්නට ලැබීම පිළිබඳව මම මහත් සේ සතුටට පත්වෙමි. 

දැහැමි සරල දිවි පෙවතක් ගතකළ මාගේ ආදරණීය දෙමව්පියන් සිහිපත් කිරීමට අප හද තුළ ඇති භක්ති ප්‍රණාමය පුදකරනු වස්, “පිංකෙත භාවනා මධ්‍යස්ථානය සහ දොන් දිනෙස් අනුස්මරණ පුස්තකාලය” ඉදිකර 2014 ජුනි මස 27 වෙනිදා මහජන අයිතියට පවරනු ලැබිණ.

මෙම ස්ථානය හඳුන්වාදීම තුළින් යක්කලමුල්ල ප්‍රදේශයේ ජනතාවට මෙන්ම අනෙකුත් පළාත්වල ජනතාවටත් විශාල සෙතක් සැලසෙන බව කිව යුතුය.

විචිත්‍ර ධර්ම කථික භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලාගේ දේශන වලට සවන්දීමට හැකිවීම, විවිධ භාවනා වැඩසටහන් වලට සහභාගිවීමටත් මෙමගින් අවස්ථාව සැලසේ. මේ සඳහා ආගම් හා ජාතිබේද නොසළකා කටයුතු කිරීමත් ලාභාපේක්ෂාවෙන් තොරව ජනතාවගේ යහපත පිණිස කටයුතු කිරීමත් විශේෂයෙන් සඳහන් කළ යුතුය. එමෙන් ම ජනතාවට යහපතක් සිදු කෙරෙන ඕනෑම පොදු සත් ක්‍රියාවකට මෙම “පිංකෙත භාවනා මධ්‍යස්ථානය සහ දොන් දිනෙස් අනුස්මරණ පුස්තකාලය” භාවිත කළ හැකි බව සඳහන් කරනු කැමැත්තෙමි.

තවද මෙහි ඇති ජාත්‍යන්තර මට්ටමේ පුස්තකාලය තුළින් දැනුමත්, භාවනා මධ්‍යස්ථානයෙන් ලබන ආගම ධර්මය පිළිබඳ දැනුමත් භාවිත කරමින් සිය ප්‍රඥාව වර්ධනය කරගන්නා මෙන් ලොකු කුඩා සෑම සියළු දෙනාගෙන්ම ඉල්ලා සිටිමි.

මෙම මධ්‍යස්ථානය ඔබේම ස්ථානයක් ලෙස සළකමින්, මෙහි නිර්මාණ ඇතුළු පරිසරයත් ආරක්ෂා කරමින් පිරිසිදුව තබාගනිමින් ඔබගේ අධ්‍යාත්මික අවශ්‍යතා සපුරාගත හැකිය. එසේම මෙම ස්ථානයේ පැවැත්වෙන, සංවිධානය කරනු ලබන වැඩසටහන් වලට දායක්වෙමින් මෙම ස්ථානයෙන් උපරිම ප්‍රයෝජන ලබාගන්නා ලෙස ද ඉල්ලා සිටිමි.
