Pinketha – The Buddhist Oasis at Yakkalamulla, Sri Lanka.

Our resplendent island has been embellished with beautiful Buddhist temples, each with its unique history and surroundings. One of the lesser known religious centers is the spectacular Don Dines Library and Meditation Center which is known by one name “Pniketha” (Pinketha means the field of merit).

“Pinketha” was founded in 2014 by Sasan Keerthi Sri N.H.Chandrapala and Mrs. Lalitha Chandrapala. Our founder setup this center on a three acre land caller Ambahamulla, Where Mr. N.H.Chandrapala and his sibling’s ancestral home existed, in memory of his parents late Mrs. K.P.Sesawathie and  Mr.N.H.Don Dines.

At the time of my father’s demise, my brothers and sisters lived in different parts of the country by making accommodations as possible as for each other, and my dear mother decided to spend the rest of her life in her home. After her death; I am very happy that the birth house we lived and all the other properties in Aambalahamulla,

I consider it a great privilege to make a statement on religious and social services that are worthy of the name “Pinketha Meditation Center and Don Dines Memorial Library” in Yakkalamulla. Mr. N. H. The culture of Sri Lanka was built in the light of Buddhism. If those who offer all kinds of sacred offerings to Buddhism; are the ones who have worshiped Buddha, then it is these who offered this kind of “Pinketha” (Field of Merits). It is same not just in the past but also in the present.
